Petside.com is a one-stop online destination for information, services, entertainment and community for dog and cat owners

CINCINNATI and NEW YORK - November 19, 2007 – Procter & Gamble Productions, Inc. (PGP) and NBC Universal Digital Media (NBCU) today announced the launch of a new website for dog and cat owners – Petside.com. The website, created in partnership with The ZiZo Group, is a comprehensive source of information and services that helps pets and their owners get the most out of life.

Americans spend over $40 billion each year on pets, related products and services. PGP and NBCU identified an unmet need for a single, online destination site that provides many resources that pet "parents" can use to care for their pets over their entire lifecycle. Petside.com offers customized content and a highly personalized experience for the user with unique features like the Pet Vet and MyPetside pet registry.

"We know that consumers are increasingly shifting their media time toward digital, so we are focusing on developing innovative business models, like Petside.com, that deliver brand-relevant content and serve people effectively and directly," said Jim Stengel, global marketing officer, Procter & Gamble. "NBCU's strong reputation as a top-quality content creator, as well as their distribution and promotional capabilities, made them a great choice for P&G Productions to partner with for the site."

"P&G Productions has a rich history of creating quality content and we're delighted to be partnering with them on this exciting new venture. For consumers, the site is an engaging and informative online experience, and for advertisers, we've created a robust new digital outlet to reach passionate, pet-loving consumers," said Beth Comstock, president, NBC Universal Integrated Media. "Petside.com is a good example of how NBCU Integrated Media can work with marketers to create unique opportunities, drawing on our Digital Media, Research, Sales and Marketing teams."

Petside.com includes the following features:

Pet Vet is a trusted resource for pet owners to find answers to any of their pet's health, medical and general care questions. Owners can input their pet's symptoms into the Pet Vet and get useful advice and possible diagnoses. The ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) has provided content for this section of the site.
At MyPetSide, users can create their own, highly personalized profiles for their pets by uploading critical information, including contact information and medical records. There is also a lost and found feature that helps reconnect pets with their owners. Registered users can also receive customized discounts on products and services, specific to the age and type of pet they have. MyPetSide also allows pet owners to connect and communicate with other pet owners via groups and individually.
In the Breeds section, users can learn about hundreds of dog and cat breeds and search by many characteristics, including group, size, hair length and more.
Pet TV is where visitors can view our extensive library of original, informative and entertaining video content, including how-to videos from veterinarian Dr. Lauren Hurowitz, pet variety shows, and other engaging content.
The Tips and Treats section offers day-to-day pet tips and information.
Pet News and information, at both the local and national level, will be aggregated from a variety of third party websites and sources.
Services are offered for people to quickly search for pets to adopt, animal hospitals and other pet-related services, at both the local and national level.
Shopping is even possible with just the click of a button. The site links to well-respected ecommerce vendors like petco.com, where pet owners can purchase all of their pet care items.

In addition to the ASPCA, Petside has partnered with other highly regarded organizations for relevant content, such as the American Kennel Club (AKC), by licensing content from a work published by John Wiley & Sons Publishers, the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and the Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA).
